Hagar’s Children’s Study

Hagar's Children's Study

God Sees You

Hagar was sad and alone in the hot, dusty desert. She had run away because someone had been mean to her. She sat down and cried.

But God saw her! An angel came and said, “God knows you are sad. Go back home, because God has a plan for your little boy.” Hagar was surprised. She said, “You are the God who sees me!”

Later, Hagar and her son Ishmael were sent away again. They walked until their water was gone. Ishmael was crying. Hagar couldn’t bear to watch, so she sat far away and wept.

Then God heard the boy crying. God called to Hagar, “Don’t be afraid! I have heard him!” Suddenly, Hagar opened her eyes and saw a well of water right in front of her! She ran and filled the bottle and gave Ishmael a drink.

God took care of Hagar and Ishmael every single day. Ishmael grew up strong and became a great archer. God was with them always.

Big Truth: God sees you when you are sad, hears you when you cry, and always has a plan to help you.
